A Message the Entire World Will Hear

Well folks, it's the moment we've all been waiting for. The world is waking up to a new reality as we discover the truth about who we really are. People are unplugging from the cultural program and seeing the reality behind the curtains that have been pulled over our eyes by clever businessmen and politicians. The truth is, you and I aren't really that different. In fact, even less different than we often realize. So, what are we always fighting about?

I'll tell you what we're fighting about. Words. Symbols. Imaginary lines. Illusions. 

Humans seem to have a keen knack for finding ways to differentiate themselves from others. The funny thing about this tendency is that it always seems to take the shape of a versus duality. Republican versus Democrat, team A versus team B, a nation versus another... sound familiar? It's as if we are programmed to be in a state of opposition. We are trained to think as an individual versus the world.

Let's look at religion. Don't you think that it's a little strange that so many people have been tortured and killed in the name of an ideology that teaches peace? How does this happen? It's because of our programmed duality instincts. Our religion becomes ingrained in our identity and our identity is in a state of opposition. We feel the need to defend our identity, and we will do so at any cost; even nail someone to a cross. 

The messages found throughout different religions are not that different. What we argue about are words and perceptions. It's fair to say that none of us can claim objective knowledge, so we must realize that our understanding of the infinite is limited by our perception. If we know that there's more that we don't know than that which we do know, how can we know that we are right and someone else is wrong? 

We each have different understandings of very similar concepts, but because we label them differently and use different metaphors to describe them, we think that we are different. All of these labels and symbols are illusions created by the ego; feeding our insecurities as we struggle to find our place in the world. Eventually we forget the difference between the mask that we wear and our true self. 

It's time for a revolution of consciousness unlike anything the world has ever seen. It's time to stand up for what we know in our hearts to be right and express the highest potential of our divine spirit by BEING the change that we want to see and living our lives with purpose, compassion, and empathy for our fellow man. It is through our actions and our creative ability to manifest our dreams into reality that we will affect REAL change in this world. Wishful thinking and fighting over our differences has proven to be ineffective. Socrates once stated that "the secret of change, is to focus all of your energy not on fighting the old; but on building the new." Unplug from the program and remember your ability to express divine love; as you are a fragment of the infinite light that lives within each of us.

What is an Ego Trap? | The Enlightened Masquerade

With the prominence of the new age spiritual movement there are millions of people around the world taking responsibility for the state of our collective existence and going deeper within themselves in search of truth and wisdom. It's truly incredible to see such a large number of individuals rejecting antiquated individualistic social institutions in favor of deriving guidance from multiple wisdom traditions in recognition of the interdependence and connectivity of all living things. Unfortunately, problems occur as the movement becomes popularized and just as we've seen with religion time and time again, an ideology that teaches love and peace becomes less about meaning and more about conforming to a trend. This is the slippery slope of an ego trap. 



We've all met that religious fanatic on a mission to prove that they are holier than thou and that our soul is doomed because our perspective is different than theirs. Maybe you've been that person at some point in your life. Hey, don't feel bad; we've all got an ego, but the important thing is that we recognize how this is contrary to the values that we are so passionate about forcing onto others. So some of you may still be asking, "what is an ego trap." Let's look at a few examples. 

• If you think that you have reached enlightenment, but you look down others as being less enlightened, you have fallen into an ego trap. The ego has identified itself as an enlightened spirit making it superior to others. What was once seeking the spirit has merely molded the ego into spirit and now the ego masquerades around pointing fingers at others. 
• If you actively contribute to environmental restoration or fighting for human/animal rights as a spiritual moral duty but feel contemptuous towards those who do not, you've fallen into an ego trap.
• If you think that it is more spiritual to go vegan, meditate, buy organic, wear healing crystals, read spiritual books, etc but you judge those who don't as being less spiritual, you're in an ego trap. 

It's so important to be aware of the tendency to develop feelings of superiority when seeking wisdom. Consider the crusades. According to the new testament in the bible, Christ taught love and peace; so how did so many people justify killing thousands in his name? They fell into an ego trap. Their collective ego took the shape of "God's warriors" and look at the violence that resulted.

Spirituality is a personal experience and while we can all receive guidance from others, it should never become our ambition to force our faith onto anyone. We cannot claim objective knowledge and so we should never assume that someone is on the wrong path just because they are not on ours. There was a time when I didn't know what I know today, and the future will continue to reveal my ignorance. Stay humble and remember that it's pretty hard to love someone when you're judging them, and in the end isn't love what spirituality is really all about?

The Unified Field is Love

The idea of a "unified field theory of everything" is certainly lofty but I have to admit, it really makes sense. I've read a lot about the holographic universe and string theory, but through study I never conceptually understood the idea of everything being interconnected. Intellectually, I just couldn't seem to wrap my mind around it all.


The overwhelming realization came to me suddenly while practicing compassion meditation. There are a variety of ways to do this, but I follow a simple practice of meditating upon the identity of another. To do this one must let go of all personal identification and submerge in the reality of another. Begin by imagining that their physical appearance is your own and then move deeper. Consider their hardship as if it were your own. You need to feel their pain as well as their joy. You need to become that person in that moment.

One evening while meditating in this way, I reached a point that I could no longer see the separation between myself and this other person. I realized that all of the things that I identify with as being myself are perceptual illusions, and who I am is something far more than thought and form. Beneath the thoughts and perceptual identifications there is a force that ties all things together. For centuries humans have sensed this force and called it by a plethora of names, shaping the countless religions throughout history and inspiring the study of metaphysics.

It's important to understand that the unified field is not subjectively confined to a single moment. In other words, time does not apply. This force already "knows" what is going to happen in the next moment because it already exists there. Fear and anxiety of the future is because of the uncertainty that we feel when we do not understand that the essence of our being is omnipresent (it exists in all places at all times) even though we only experience a subjective reality called perspective.

Not only is it omnipresent, it is also omniscient, or all knowing. Ever have an epiphany and wonder where the sudden understanding came from? That's the all knowing unified field, which is also all powerful, or omnipotent. When we move beyond the ego to see our true self, we realize that we already have all of the answers and potential, and it will flow through us in the moment that we need it; not before. This is why a central concept in religion is faith.

So how do we fully connect with this infinite source? It is through dissolving the individual identity and surrendering to pure consciousness. By dissolving the ego we eradicate greed, hatred, fear, bigotry, jealousy, superiority, and all other forms of individualism leaving only love. Love is the bridge that unites us all together. It is the cosmic glue that binds the metaphysical universe just as gravity unifies the physical universe. This is what Buckminster Fuller meant when he said that "love is metaphysical gravity." It is everything except the illusions that we create that blind us from it. These illusions form the ego which was shaped by experiences through limited perception and influenced by other egos that have also forgotten who they are on a fundamental level.

Love is not something that you can become more or less of. It is already infinite and all you have to do is surrender to it. This is why it has been said that spirituality is a destructive process. Adyashanti explained that "it has nothing to do with becoming better or being happier. Enlightenment is the crumbling away of untruth. It's seeing through the facade of pretense. It's the complete eradication of everything we imagined to be true.” In other words, it is the death of the ego.

I've found in my journey that the road is filled with traps. I recently wrote an article titled What is an Ego Trap | The Enlightened Masquerade which explains how easy it is to begin to think of oneself as being enlightened which becomes a new ego identification that creates a sense of superiority. For one who is truly enlightened, it is not possible to feel superior because enlightenment is the recognition that everything is love and the complete submission to it. Should you become nothing, you will become everything.

Merkaba: The Vehicle of Ascension

The Merkaba, also spelled Merkabah, is a vehicle of divine light allegedly used by ascended masters to connect with and reach those in tune with the higher realms. In Ancient Egypt, this primal pattern was called the Mer-Ka-Ba as three words. Mer meant a kind of light that rotated within itself. Ka meant spirit, in this case referring to the human spirit, and Ba meant the human body. Mer-Ka-Ba means the spirit/body surrounded by counter-rotating fields of light, spirals of energy as in DNA, which transports spirit/body from one dimension to another.

The geometry of the Merkaba is called ''Sacred Geometry,'' as this particular geometry is found in the creation patterns of all things in Creation. The Merkaba is a crystalline energy field that is comprised of specific sacred geometries that align the mind, body, and heart together. This energy field extends around the body, spinning at close to the speed of light, but for most of us it has slowed down or stopped spinning entirely due to a lack of use. When this field is reactivated and spinning properly, it is called a Merkaba, resembling the structure of a galaxy when fully activated.

The Merkaba enables us to experience expanded awareness and consciousness. By interlacing the two six pointed stars you bring forth the creation of mankind, the creation of the cosmic gateways and the creation of the eternal OM. The creation of the three dimensional reality manifesting in the 13th dimensional flow of energy (two stars on top of each other create 13 points, representing 13 dimensions).

In the Bible there is reference to Ezekiel and the wheels through which he ascended into heaven. This is said to be the Merkaba. In the Torah, there is reference to the Merkavah (as it is spelled in Hebrew) which has two different meanings: One meaning is ''chariot,'' which is a vehicle; the other is the ''Throne of God.'' Ascension involves a process where the human body is transformed into light and translated by an incredible birth into a new world. It is achieved through a meditation that requires the mind, heart, body, and spirit to completely integrate in one pattern of light and transcend the human limitations of this reality.

We Are One

What is the source of our identity? Are we the object that we see when we look in the mirror, or are we the awareness of this object? Are we the adjectives that we use to describe our present state of existence, or the consciousness that experiences each fleeting state of being? Consider for a moment that we are all experiencing the same consciousness from different points of view. Consider that we are, in fact, one being that has been fragmented just as light is fragmented into many colors. If I had been born as you and lived your life, my identity would be molded just as yours has been. We are shaped by our individual life experiences which creates the illusion of an individual identity, or ego. The ego serves as a veil between us and our infinite, multidimensional being. By transcending the ego we find that everything is interconnected as a single light that's fragmented by our perception.
